Mice

I've probably lost my audience due to inactivity so I feel like I'm just writing to empty space. Since November my extra time is centered around hugging my latest grandchild but I don't post pictures of children on my site so you can't see those 2 little girls.
And you can't really see the mice that I've declared war on but here's a pic of how troublesome they can be. .My last victim was caught by only one foot/leg and he took off with the trap. Hmm Craig found him amidst my "garbage" and set him loose on the other side of the road. Next day we found his little frozen body.Sympathy creeps in strange places doesn't it?

Secrets

Just needing help with cooking. There must be something between buying prepared food and cooking up an old fashioned dinner from scratch. I just read about a 3 minute fruit cobbler that involved 3 graham wafers stacked, topped with a quarter cup of apple sauce...microwaved and Cool Whip added to finish up. hmmm That's a start. I'm thinking there's a way to freeze dollops of mashed potatoes so at meal time it's a cinch to add that to your plate. (think you add an egg or something) I'd start a cookbook for Seniors if the light ever came on for me.
Found an interesting guy at Foodland yesterday. He was deliberating over how many tomatoes to buy to do for one meal. Maybe his name was Sheldon. He wanted his food to come out even. His aim was to have no leftovers sitting around spoiling. ..I said "So you can't think about tomorow?" and he replied .."No...it's steak and pototoes tomorrow".
Anyway back to the kitchen....groan.
